Drawing its inspiration from Haida mythology, the first Haida-language feature film tells about pride, tragedy and regret. A wild man cannot bear the guilt of having led his nephew to death. He isolates himself in the forest for the winter, changing into a hunger-struck wildman, Gaagiid. Cinema is an important tool for the revitalisation of the Haida language, which is only spoken by some twenty people.
